After the Rain

The rain had come and gone,  and in the grass, something was waiting.

It was Katya, who saw it first.  She had been attracted by the white flowers– she came to pick, and stayed to watch. 019

Oddly enough, she wasn’t frightened.

Perhaps she understood about keeping your head down,  waiting for your mother, hoping to be spared annihilation.
