Katya had an eye appointment and a post-op followup the beginning of this week, all routine. Hopkins is simply the best place to have her eyes checked, because they are so kind and patient there.
Whilst we waited at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Katya improved her mind. Here she is learning how to spell “VIEW” on her talker. She also learned how to spell “SKI” once we explained that it is spelled “S-K-I“, not “S-K-L“.
Katya did well with her appointment. Alex Christoff and Dr. Repka are always so patient and explain things to Katya without “talking down” to her or being patronizing.
Katya’s eyes look pretty much the same as before, which is good news!
Dr. Repka says there is no need to correct her strabismus right now, since her skull is still unstable from surgery.
So that’s that. Another successful trip to the Wilmer Eye Institute!
